Faster, But slower...

Something magic happens when light hits a thin layer of silver and creates an image. Each step has its element of chance. It's a sequence of chemical events, and the challenge is to harness these analogue processes.

In the early 2000's, photography went through the most evolving revolution in a hundred years with the introduction of the digital camera to the mass market. Sales of traditional film photography gear dropped to next to nothing in a few years. It made sense in the human strive for convenience.

But maybe something got lost in this revolution. Where speed is won, creativity sometimes gets lost. I don't always like convenience, I like to take my time loading the camera with film. It smells nice, and it gives me time to think and allows my mind to take a small detour from the straightest path. Refrain from pushing the shutter to quickly. Stop chasing the moment, instead, wait for it to arrive - then jump on it.
